Champion Community Credit Union began in 1971 with a group of Champion International Paper Company employees who saw the need for a place to save and borrow at reasonable rates. We are now a full service financial institution with assets to over $50,000,000, and four branch offices. If you live or work in Lawrence or the surrounding counties you are eligible for membership in our credit union. Each member’s accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to $250,000. We offer saving plans, checking accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts, and many types of consumer loans along with mortgage loans. We participate in the Shared Branching Network. We have service center outlets locally in Athens, Decatur, Florence, Killen, Moulton and Muscle Shoals.
