Malheur Federal Credit Union was established in 1957 as Malheur Teachers Federal Credit Union in Nyssa, Oregon. We moved to Ontario, Oregon in 1963 and converted to a community charter in 1981, so anyone living or working in Malheur County could become a member. In the summer of 2001 we expanded our membership service area to include anyone living or working in Payette County, Idaho. MFCU has five locations, two in Ontario, one in Vale, Payette, and New Plymouth.
