The University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union was started by seven faculty members back in 1937. Soon after membership was expanded to include university staff and in 2006 university students were added to the field of membership. In the fall of 2016 the credit union began reaching out to Alumni and welcoming them to join as well. The founders were big on helping the university community to save, borrow and live better. We continue to focus on these principles. Members own the credit union and each member has one vote and equal ownership. We don't have shareholders controlling the credit union which allows us to concentrate on our most important asset, YOU.
